We are just a few days away from Beta and I’m sure many of you have already requested personal time off from your boss at work, scrambled for last minute purchases to upgrade your PC, and have started stocking up on Redbull and your beer of choice. There is one more thing you will need to add to your to-do list if you are running Windows 7/8 32-bit, upgrade Windows to 64-bit.
Tweeted by Johan Andersson,Technical Director on Frostbite at DICE, the coming Beta for Battlefield 4 will require Windows OS to be on the 64-bit version.
Unsure if you are on 32 or 64 bit? Follow the steps below to make sure you’re not left out on Beta day. A full list of system requirements for the retail version is posted here.
Computers running Windows Vista or Windows 7
Click the Start button , right-click Computer, and then click Properties.
- If “64-bit Operating System” is listed next to System type, you’re running the 64-bit version of Windows Vista or Windows 7.
- If “32-bit Operating System” is listed next to System type, you’re running the 32-bit version of Windows Vista or Windows 7.
The edition of Windows Vista or Windows 7 you’re running is displayed under Windows edition near the top of the window.
