In recent light of the newly announced DLC: China Rising, I decided to look into what may be featured. There has been much speculation about the bomber on top of the China Rising DLC, my belief is that it is a Xian H-6, a strategic bomber which was used by the Egyptian and Iraqi Air Force but was retired by both around 10 years ago. It was claimed by China as their first “proper” strategic bomber and used in 1986 to drop bombs. There are also many different variations of the H-6; free-fall bomber, reconnaissance and anti-ship.
From what we know so far about the Battlefield franchise, all of these different variants point towards different attachments or unlockables. It interesting to note that the H-6 is capable of anti-ship missile which could be effective against the new naval element rumored to be in Battlefield 4. There were also many other possibilities listed including a specialist land missile, cruise missiles and/or tomahawk missiles. Unfortunately, we may only see this feature as a gunship style add-on to the game for understandable reasons.
