A company named Oculus set out to raise $250,000 for the development, manufacture and distribution of VR-style gaming goggles called the Oculus Rift in August. Instead it raised over $2.4 million.
“I have one of the first [Oculus] Rift dev kits coming my way in March,” said DICE director Frank Vitz, “We have an internal community eager to work on it. I know of at least four dev kits on order. There are multiple titles in the works that would be awesome with the Rift.”. Vitz confirmed that DICE is indeed working on converting Frostbite-based games to Oculus Rife, though these experiments may never be publicly release.
