Battlelog will support dual monitors and laptops in-game

You may have read earlier this week Thomas Deisinger’s article on the Battlefield 4 Battlelog Trailer.

Recently, Battlelog Producer DICE_TheBikingViking, and Battlelog Developer, DarkLord7845, answered questions on a Reddit thread clarifying some of the new features. One of the more interesting subjects discussed was in regard to the use of 2 or more monitors while playing online. They even confirmed that if your laptop is plugged into the same local network, you can use that for your minimap in the same way you can use a tablet or other hand held device.

The reddit thread can be seen below:

This will make things a lot easier for players, as anything that can access the browser-based battlelog, can be put onto the second monitor and used to change loadouts, track progress or use the battlescreen.

In the thread it was also reconfirmed that you can choose to go “invisible” and appear “offline” while you play. Which is always nice when you don’t want to be disturbed, or avoid playing with that friend of a friend that you friended because you played one game with him and felt it was rude to say “no” even though you didn’t really like him. (C’mon – we’ve all done it!)

The multiplayer experience of Battlefield 4 just gets more interesting by the day and I for one, cannot wait for the game to be released.
