For those of you that are enjoying the BF4 Beta for the last week, you are probably aware that there are some performance on the PC version, to the point of high-end rigs getting very low FPS ans CPU spikes.
There was already a patch released a couple of days ago that did make it a little smoother, but DICE has released another patch today, which many people are reporting is very effective in solving the performance issues.
Here are the fixes from DICE:
Updates in Beta Patch #2 for PC (Oct 10)
- Two fixes for the long/permanent loading times
- Various improvements in performance for users running quad core or six core CPU’s
- Fixed a crash that happened for some dual core CPU users after loading
- Fixed a crash relating to DirectX10 graphics cards
- Various stability fixes
- Various crash fixes
A large percentage of players are noting an improvement. Personally, after I updated, I was never able to get past the loading screen, which had not been occurring before for me. So, be aware that it may happen for you as well.
The update should run automatically when you open Origin, so go check it out!
